The temperatures were soaring in the Las Vegas Valley Saturday, July 24, 2010, when we gathered at the Saw Mill Day Use area to find relief from the heat. The air was a cool 80 degrees and a rumble of thunder could be heard in the distance as our all American feast was prepared.

Jim and Paul were the first to arrive and stake out our area, prepared to let us sample a tomato cobbler and deviled eggs. Joanne and Kellie joined the festivities with stuffed cheese and sausage peppers. Trudy and Lee added to the feast with wonderful potato salad and deviled eggs. David was quick to grill the all American classic hamburgers and hot dogs. Carol traveled up the hill with an ice chest full of ice cream. Bobby and Becky joined the desert party with Tiramisu and Sugar Free Cup Cakes. The final desert treat was a pan of Sugar free Blueberry Cheese Cake Brownies baked by Kathleen. Thanks to Natalie for helping us enjoy all the food.
