| On March 26th we once again joined the Boy Scout Expo at Sunset
Park, Las Vegas. There were thousands in attendance, and we served up samples
of our beef stew to hungry scouts all day. We made a big pot of Beef Stew and some cornbread. We demonstrated cooking techniques and hosted a Dutch Oven cookoff later in the afternoon. Here is our "mascott" second year in a row. This goose is a fixture at the park, and prefers the company of humans to that of other geese. Here's the big pot of beef stew we made for the Boy Scout Expo. This is a 22 inch pot! Here's Jim waiting to hand out our samples to the hordes of hungry scouts. Here are two scouts getting ready to bake their entries into the scout cookoff. Another delicious item in our Scout cookoff. Chocolate chip and marshmallow cake baked for our cookoff. Folks were impressed that you can make just about anything in a Dutch oven. Here is a dutch oven baked clafouti made during our cookoff.. Here's our mascot trying to stow away in my trailer. Thanks to our members who came out and helped out! It was a great event by any measure. |
