Welcome to the Las Vegas Dutch Oven Society Website!

We are a family oriented club whose members can participate in a variety of activities including Dutch Oven Gatherings, campouts, and community service.

Each month we have a gathering where we cook together, then share a great potluck meal. In alternating months we gather at a local park, while in the opposite months we get out of town and go camping together. Just click on the calendar link to get all of the information.

If you are new to Dutch oven cooking or just haven't done any for a while, then this is the group for you! We have a number of members who teach DO cooking, so just let us know and we'll make sure you have a "coach" to help you get off on the right foot.

Memberships are $20 per year for a single member and $25 per year for a family.

Recent Club Events

Our Hilltop camping adventures continued the weekend of August 13th-15th ,2010. Bobby, Becky, Charlene, Rhonda, Lynn, Laura, Nate, Kirsten, Shawn, Pat, Tami, Kathleen and Dave gathered at Mount Charleston for a weekend of food, friendship and fresh cool breezes, while the Las Vegas Valley was a sweltering 107 degrees.

Our members created fabulous food for all to enjoy.  We dined on Oriental cuisine.  The dishes were chicken tap pae, stir fry beef, sweet and sour chicken and oriental chilies cheese bread.  No one left the table hungry

As the sun set in the evening Friday night, the sky came alive.  Venus was shining bright, pointing her light towards the Milky Way.  Many of our guests had never seen the Milky Way.  The meteor shower continued to amaze everyone.

We had many guests stop by on Sunday to inquire about LVDOS.  We hope to see them at an event real soon.
