12 inch Dutch Oven 17 top coals, 8 bottom coals INGREDIENTS 2 (8 oz) cans crescent rolls 1 8 oz container light sour cream 1 pound lean ground beef 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 package taco seasoning 1 can sliced black olives, drained 1/3 cup water salsa shredded lettuce PROCEDURE • Spray your Dutch Oven with cooking spray & line it with the crescent rolls, brining rolls to the edge making sure all gaps are filled in. • Meanwhile, brown the ground beef and add the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 10 minutes. • Layer 1 cup crushed chips on top of the crescent rolls. • Layer seasoned meat, sour cream and cheese. • Top with 1/2 c crushed chips and sliced black olives. • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. • Serve with salsa, shredded lettuce and other toppings as desired. |
Welcome to the Las Vegas Dutch Oven Society
website! While we are a fledgling group, our members aren't new to Dutch Ovens. We are working to grow into a family oriented club whose members can participate in a variety of activities including Dutch Oven Gatherings, campouts, and community service. Each month we have a gathering where we cook together, then share a great potluck meal. In alternating months we gather at a local park, while in the opposite months we get out of town and go camping together. Just click on the calendar link to get all of the information. If you are new to Dutch oven cooking or just haven't done any for a while, then this is the group for you! We have a number of members who teach DO cooking, so just let us know and we'll make sure you have a "coach" to help you get off on the right foot. Memberships are $20 per year for a single member and $25 per year for a family. Click on this link for a membership application. |

The potluck will start at 3:00pm so come early enough to cook your favorite dish! |
